International Catholic Migration Commission

ICMC Europe is the EU policy and programme office located in Brussels representing ICMC at European level, coordinating advocacy actions and implementing networking, capacity-building and multi-stakeholder collaboration programmes, particularly in the areas of refugee resettlement, mixed migration, integration, human trafficking, and migration and development. ICMC Europe works with international organisiations, governments, local government , NGOs and other civil society actors in over 18 countries in Europe.

With its partners IOM and UNHCR, ICMC Europe promotes resettlement in Europe and develops the European Resettlement Network to build European resettlement capacity and expertise. To engage local and regional actors as new actors in the wider European Resettlement Network, ICMC Europe is currently implementing the SHARE Project building a resettlement network of European regions, cities, municipalities and their civil society partners.

Via the Resettlement Saves Lives campaign, ICMC Europe together with other leading NGOs in the field, advocates for durable solutions and access to protection of Syrian refugees and for 20,000 places for resettled refugees to be offered by European countries each year by 2020.

ICMC Europe is a member of the FRONTEX Consultative Forum on Fundamental Rights, the Fundamental Rights Platform of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) and the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) Consultative Forum.
